Low Priority Task: Fall damage

    Two simple questions:

    1) How is fall damage calculated when unit falls from distance. In particular:
    a) Values of damage naked agent with no equipment receives when falling from 1 to 9 tiles height.
    b) Are they random? Constant?
    c) Do agent stats affect them?
    d) Does equipment weight affect it? How?
    e) Does armor affect it? How? Which slot?

    2) How is damage from falling objects calculated when it falls on unit. In particular:
    a) Values of damage naked agent receives when something falls on him.
    b) Are they random? Constant?
    c) Does it depend on what exactly falls on him?
    d) Does it depend on how far it falls from?
    e) Does armor affect it? How? Which slot?

    From the official strategy guide(about falling debris damage) :

    "The damage falling debris inflicts varies. Suffice to say that the bigger the terrain chunk and the further it falls, the more damage it inflicts. Damage from falling terrain uses the standard, three-step damage allocation process"
    By three step damage allocation process it's referring to the way that damage is applied to shields, then armour, then finally the damage is applied to the body.
    Equipment weight does not affect falling damage.
    Armour does, but only head armour.

    Also, (About damage from agents falling)
    "Agents and other units can be injured if they fall or jump down more than one level at a time. The damage they sustain varies depending on the height of the fall or jump-the higher the fall, the higher the damage. Normal damage allocation applies[Three step]"

    Thank you. We still need someone to test to see exact numbers - like, what exactly is the damage of a falling block of earth / piece of ufo / sirius curtain? What exactly is damage of falling from 5 tiles high ledge?

    My testings:
    CONDITIONS:
    my prionic have full flyght armor and 2 shields and was on 9 floor
    under him was soldier wich x-com armor and 2 shields and was on 2 floor
    AFTER:
    i remove coat marsek armor and psionic fall on soldier
    and lost consciousness and judging by the strip of live is not damaged (even after 6-7 minutes in game time its not come up)
    and soldier dont get any dmg for any indicators

    CONDITIONS:

    AFTER:
    i remove coat marsek armor and psionic fall on soldier
    and lost consciousness and judging by the strip of live is not damaged

    in apocd move agents to different hights...

    COND hight 6 levels and two agent on it
    1. completely naked
    2. no armor only many ammo and weapons in hands and back
    AFTER fall
    1. get 22/100 HP and heavily injured in chest and 81/100 bravery/moral
    2. no damage to any indicators 100/100 HP
    ----
    COND hight 9 levels one agent on it no armor only many ammo and weapons in hands and back
    AFTER fall - die
    ----

    1. hight 6 levels IN x-com armor, many ammo and weapons in hands and back, ONE shields
    2. hight 6 levels IN megapol armor, many ammo and weapons in hands and back, TWO shields
    AFTER fall -
    1. no change except shield drop to ~75%
    2. no change except shield drop to ~90%

    go to slams diablo and shoot way in the big columns wich concrete inside (like 10x10 tiles)
    part of this concrete that fall from 2 level to 1level dont damage anything
    when agent was in armor and shield, only armor, naked (wich equipment)

    also i drop from agent that was on 9 to agent on 2 level single items and also many items and armor parts and that not give anything (try wich armor and shield, only armor, naked)

    d) Does equipment weight affect it? How? - yes but if its equipped its gives defence and not more damage
    e) Does armor affect it? How? Which slot? - yes main slot is body part others sims not affect
