I know it's still very early in development, but here is a question about running the "game":

What data from the original CD / original install should be copied where?

(not really sure this was talked about in the forums, a quick search revealed nothing of interest)

You should do a full install, and copy all files under the data/ folder.

In addition, there's a MUSIC file on the CD which you should copy to the data/ folder too.

    Thanks.

I found the 'readme' in the 'data' folder after you pointed me to it. Doh!

Anyway, the 'Quit' button works flawlessly :)

I think it's more of an interactive movie...

They were really popular back in late 90's. :)

    Got this in the console:
    Code:
    me@workstation:~/Personal/OpenApocalypse/build$ ./OpenApoc
Failed to load "UFODATA/PAL_01.DAT", trying "ufodata/pal_01.dat"
    Failed to load "UFODATA/PAL_01.DAT"
Failed to load "TACDATA/TACTICAL.PAL", trying "tacdata/tactical.pal"
    Failed to load "TACDATA/TACTICAL.PAL"
Failed to load "UFODATA/PAL_06.DAT", trying "ufodata/pal_06.dat"
    Failed to load "UFODATA/PAL_06.DAT"

I've checked the file "UFODATA/PAL_01.DAT" and is there, full caps too.

The main window loads, but it looks like this:

I'm not sure if there is an error in my original data files or something else is amidst.

    Ubuntu 12.04 x86

Why do you think there's something wrong? I'm assuming your running from my latest git? In which case that's exactly what it shows

I'm not saying that there is something wrong, I'm asking if there is something wrong, since there were some error messages in my console.

Anyway, good to know that everything is ok from my side, and this is just the current state of development.
