Over the last couple of weeks, there have been some rather significant changes in my Real Lifetm. As such, I'm not going to be doing as much in OpenApoc. Seems rather silly, considering the project is in it's infancy, but that's the way it goes I'm afraid.

Anyhoo, before you get upset. JonnyH is still going to continue working on the project, he has full access to my Git repo; and I will be around to help where I can.

It's not the greatest of news, I appreciate, but I am thankful that JonnyH is still interested enough to help see if we can push this a bit further. So please all get behind him. I will still be here, and hopefully I'll still get some development done, maybe just not as much as I originally hoped.

    Thanks

Thanks for kicking this off pmprog - I respect you for finally getting me off my arse and actually do something (I've been thinking of an apoc remake for a while :)

And if anyone cares, I still intend to push ahead full-steam, but there is a lot still to do (Though other interested developers are more than welcome to help out!)

    Jonny

Just want to chime in with some simple words of support. You guys are awesome, and I appreciate your efforts to get this ball rolling. This is a great project, and though I can't really help with any of the coding, I will be an interested and supporting follower.

    Cheers, Ivan :D

I'm hoping I can get the GUI designer (in the OpenApoc.Toolset) pretty well sorted. Hopefully this means we can get some non-programmers helping customise the game screens (though programming will be required to get it functional)

Thanks for giving us hope of being able to play Apocalypse by modern standards.

Get your RealLifeTM sorted out, and drop in from time to time.

I'm not a programmer, but I'll lend a hand whenever I'll be able to.

    Again, thank you.

You and JonnyH did a great job so far.

I certainly hope to be popping by still quite frequently, but it'll mostly be when I'm at work rather than my "free time". Hopefully I'll still be able to squeeze in some evenings/weekends.

What's the process for contributing code to the project? Should I sign up somewhere or just download the resources from github and have at it?

You'll need a GitHub account, then fork the GitHub repo, make changes and send a pull request. Depending how involved you get, we can give you immediate access to the repo
