It really shouldn't need any porting - there's a known issue with the renderer causing crash on exit that I'm cleaning up a fix for, but everything else seems to work for me... It's not correctly packaged as a user-friendly app right now though, but as it's kinda not ready for end users yet that's not been a priority yet...
I'm a Mac user and I would love to help. I've also had limited experience in writing CMake code so that apps can be packaged as native macOS apps. Just let me know what you'd like for me to do.
I'm a mac developer and I actually got the code compiling and running on a mac quite a while ago. I haven't tried to run it in a while. I never did manage to package it in a .app or statically link in the libraries though. It was linking to the macports libraries dynamically.
