    Do many people here go in for Kickstarters? I'm not exactly keen on the idea, however, I have dipped my toes in a few.

    I've done a couple (an FPGA board and digital oscilloscope/logic probe) that both worked out pretty well, plus a little-known space sim called Kerbal Space Program ;)

    Of course, you have to page past the 100 vanity projects and 'give me money for... something I'll think of later' to find the more useful stuff though, and not really looked outside the tech corner, but my experiences have all been good so far.
