    Hi there,

Sorry, i'm not sure if this belongs in here.
Does the Remake use parts of codes from the original DOS-Game?

I'm asking because i'm getting an memory-error at Dosbox, if i play the good old x-com apoc.
So i hope you dont have the same problem if you make the remake.

I just wanted to play the game on the hardest difficult-level.
    Its week 10 - 11 , i have four bases , my bases are under alien-warship-attack.
I saved the game - opened the base screen.
The game runs without problems on base 1 , base 3 and base 4. If i click on base 2 to see the buildings in it, the game crashes.
The error refers to an Memory Failure. Reinstall of Dosbox, Xcom Apoc, disabling xms and ems, disabling sound does not help.

Does anybody know how to play that game without that problem?
Sorry for that question, but you still need some time to make the remake become real, right? :)
So i hope anybody can help me out here a little bit.

    By the way:
On which language / libary will the remake run ?
Is some Windows-beta planned? I'm want to test it for you. :D

No original code will be present in OpenApocalypse. Though I believe there's a couple attempts to disassemble the executables so we can learn the secrets (otherwise we'll just make stuff up, and hope it looks similar enough)

OpenApoc uses a few libraries, with the main one being Allegro 5; It's also written in C++. There'll be numerous releases that will be open for everyone to test play.

I don't know about your Dosbox error I'm afraid, sounds like your save game might be a bit messed up though.

Thank you. :) Thats good to know.
I found an Workaround for the problem. I had to destroy my own Base (Base 2)
Until now the savegame is not crashing, but i have 65550 Distrubtor Shields now at the Storages.
